André started yoga in 1999, acting on a childhood fascination with yoga and fueled by his passion for high performance skydiving. Initially finding routines on the Internet and then purchasing the renowned book 'Light on Yoga' were the catalysts for finding a teacher after 6 months of self-study. He counts himself blessed to have started with and studied under the highly experienced and wonderful Iyengar Yoga teacher, Brigitta Tummon. Continuing his study and practice of Iyengar Yoga, kindled by his curiosity of the integration of the human body, mind and spirit, André teaches a dynamic and invigorating class, generally using specific physical themes as the focal point for his classes.
